Standing in front of the switchboard exhibit at the Depot Museum are Brunelle Murphy, right, and Martha Todd Bimson, two former Avon Park telephone operators. 

This switchboard was the one actually used by Bimson; and Murphy placed the last phone call made through the Avon Park office before it was closed down in 1985.
